As a result of the discussion of the project proposal on modernization of Kherson and Skadovsk sea ports on the conditions of public-private partnership prepared by the Academy it was initiated creation of a new transport corridor Klaipeda-Belarus-Kherson-Trabzon-Georgia-Baku.

January 19, 2018On January 17, 2017 at the Embassy of the Republic of Turkey to Ukraine took place presentation of the proposal on the implementation of public-private partnership of the project “Modernization of port infrastructure of Kherson and Skadovsk Sea Trade Ports”. It is already the second presentation of the proposal prepared by the Academy of Public-Private Partnership in cooperation with Law firm “JurEnergoConsulting” andsubmitted by its initiator – the Group of Companies “Sodruzhestvo” for the consideration of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine. The first one took place in theLithuanian Embassy in Ukraine in December 2017. The project was presented by General director of the Group of Companies ” Sodruzhestvo” V. Popov and the head of the project preparation team professor, doctor of economic science I. Zatatrina. November 27, 2017On October 21-22, 2017 in Geneva (Switzerland) took place the First Session of the UNECE Working Party on Public-Private Partnership The event was attended by the representatives of more than 200 countries of the world, international organizations, non-governmental organizations, private sector and scientific institutions. On the first day of the session, dedicated to the issues of mobilising the PPP units of the countries behind the UN SDGs  Mikhail Titarchuk, the Deputy Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, who headed the delegation of Ukraine at the event has spoken on Ukraine’s key achievements in this area. The Academy of PPP was represented at the event by its President Anna Shatkovska and its Founder Irina Zapatrina, who has spoken on the 2nd day of the session during the panel discussion on the prospects of Ukraine’s participation in the programs on institutional capacity increasing  in the field of PPP in the framework of the “One Belt – One Way” initiative. The said program will be implemented in accordance with the Memorandum signed between the UNECE and China’s National Development and Reform Commission.

In particular, she reported about the initiation of PPP project “Implementation of the system for fixing violations in the field of road safety in the automatic mode in the city of Kyiv”, feasibility study and concept note for which have been prepared by the Academy.

Kubiv, took place a meeting of the representatives of the Ministry with the consortium of Polenergia International, EDF Trading and Westinghouse, which have submitted a proposal for the implementation of a public-private partnership project “Energy Bridge “Ukraine-EU”

October 11, 2017On October 9, 2017 in the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine, under the chairmanship of the First Vice Prime Minister S. Kubiv, took place a meeting of the representatives of the Ministry with the consortium of Polenergia International, EDF Trading and Westinghouse, which have submitted a proposal for the implementation of a public-private partnership project “Energy Bridge “Ukraine-EU”, which could become the first PPP project implemented in accordance with the updated PPP legislation. The Project is aimed at the integration of the Ukrainian energy system into the ENTSO-E European grid and creation of a financial mechanism for the completion of power units 3 and 4 of Khmelnitsky NPP. The legal model for implementing the Project was structured by specialists of the Academy of Public Private Partnership and Baker McKenzie.

Two presentations of the draft Law on Concessions that was developed with support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, took place on September 8 in Kiev.

September 11, 2017Two presentations of the draft Law on Concessions that was developed with support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, took place on September 8 in Kiev.  The first presentation for state authorities and people’s deputies of Ukraine was held at the Club of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine. The second presentation for business – at the InterContinental Hotel. Consultants of the PPP Academy took part in the elaboration of this draft law. Founder of the Academy prof. I. Zapatrina took part in both presentations.

On September 6, 2017 in the framework of the UNDP Project “Removing Barriers to increase investment in Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Ukraine through the ESCO modality in Small and Medium Sized Cities” took place Round table “Problems of Financing of Ukraine’s Energy Modernization and their Solving”.

September 7, 2017On September 6, 2017 in the framework of the UNDP Project “Removing Barriers to increase investment in Energy Efficiency of Public Buildings in Ukraine through the ESCO modality in Small and Medium Sized Cities” took place  Round table “Problems of Financing of Ukraine’s Energy Modernization and their Solving”. The President of the Academy Anna Shatkovska has participated in the event and made a presentation “Public-Private Partnership: International experience and opportunities for Ukraine”.
